How to clean your patio furniture cushions
Spring and warmer weather is just around the corner and we know with everyone spending all of their time home practicing safe social distancing you have all been cleaning and organizing your homes.
Next you will want to get your patio furniture ready. Even if your furniture is covered during the winter, the cushions may still accumulate dust, dirt and grime, so it’s a good idea to clean it regularly.
Here are a few tips on how to clean your patio furniture cushions and get them looking great.
LIGHT OR GENERAL CLEANING
- Use a sponge or soft brush to apply mild soap and warm water to the fabric.
- Rinse thoroughly.
- Air dry.
FOR A DEEPER CLEANING INCLUDING FOR MILDEW
- Machine wash covers using gentlest cycle with like colors and cold water.
- Air dry.
STAIN RECOMMENDED CLEANING SOLUTIONS
Blood (dried) - 2 oz. dishwashing liquid and 4-8 oz. ammonia per 1 gallon water, rinse thoroughly.
Tree Sap - Turpentine (100%), 2 oz. dishwashing liquid per 1 gallon water, rinse thoroughly.
Wine - 2 oz. dishwashing liquid, 3 oz. white vinegar and 4-8 oz. ammonia per 1 gallon water, rinse thoroughly.
